About the Event

Are you looking for a deeper connection between your yoga practice and what you feel within your body? We often look at ourselves and what we feel from a judging outside view. What if you could go within and understand where you may be holding energetic blocks that create tension in your practice and why.

This six week series does just that. By combining the practice of yoga with Jin Shin Jyutsu, you’ll get a deeper  look into where your body is speaking to you. As we explore this each week, you’ll gain an understanding of the deeper meaning within the tension your body is sharing with you – sending you a message to reflect, appreciate, thank and let go.

In each class, we’ll go slow to explore a few yoga poses and connect them with the energetic locations of the body. We’ll explore the practice of yoga along with Jin Shin Jyutsu light touch energy holds, breathing, and contemplation. This is the art of Getting To Know/Help Myself that your deeper self has been asking for. It’s time to listen.

Jin Shin Jyutsu translates to “The Creator’s Art Through the Person of Knowing and Compassion”. It is an innate practice of connecting with the energy that creates our total being, both physically and emotionally through our own light touch. We use this touch unconsciously day in and day out. We rest our cheeks on our fists when thinking. As a child you may  have sucked your thumb or placed your hands over a scraped knee. When overwhelmed, we naturally comfort ourselves with a hug.

Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help is the art of getting to know and help yourself, like you instinctively knew how to do when you were a child.
