About the Event
First, we’re going to lie down in a salt cave and do absolutely nothing. Then we’re going to have a drink.
Not just any drink.
Amaro is a bittersweet Italian liqueur made with all kinds of interesting things: roots, herbs, flowers, spices, citrus and botanicals. Long before it became something you might order after dinner at a very good restaurant, these kinds of herbal preparations were being made in monasteries, pharmacies and home kitchens, often with the idea that certain plants could help with digestion or other everyday ailments.
Eventually, people figured out something else: they were really good to drink. Amaro is complex, full of herbs and botanicals, and meant to be sipped slowly and enjoyed in a small glass. It seems a little bit old-fashioned and a little bit different.
We’ll begin with a slow, deeply restful guided meditation + singing bowls in the salt cave. You’ll get…
