About the Event
We chose Braiding Sweetgrass because several of us had read it and others of us had been wanting to read it.
It’s a book that has gently, profoundly changed how many of us see the land, the air, the water, and our place within them.
Robin Wall Kimmerer is a botanist and a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation. While she isn’t from Kentucky, she did spend time living and teaching here earlier in her career, which feels meaningful to our group. Her writing carries a deep respect for place—for knowing where you are, listening to it, and learning how to live in relationship with the land.
Everyone is welcome—bring a friend, or just bring yourself.
