About the Event
There are moments when life doesn't go according to plan. Relationships change, expectations unravel, certainty disappears, and we find ourselves standing in unfamiliar territory. Our instinct is often to fix it, escape it, or rush through it.
In When Things Fall Apart, Pema Chödrön offers another way.
Drawing from Buddhist wisdom and everyday experience, she invites us to soften instead of harden, to stay present instead of turning away, and to discover that uncertainty isn't something to conquer—it can become the place where compassion, resilience, and genuine freedom begin.
The Lexington Writers Room has moved to its new location on the corner of Mill and Short Streets, above Frank and Dino's. There is paid parking all around, including on the street. We also have the lot on the corner of Second and Upper if you don't mind walking a few blocks.
