About the Event

Slow down, breath deeply and feel. Join Lissa Sims for a free, all-levels practice on the lawn under the trees. Whether this is your first yoga practice or your thousandth, this is a great opportunity to be with your people in a beautiful environment with many people who love yoga and want to share it. Invite your people, share this and/or bring a friend. EVERYONE is welcome! Most people bring mats but a big towel works too.

What to Wear

Wear whatever makes you feel happy and free to move. People wear sweatpants and shorts, t-shirts and tank tops, loose pants and tight pants, and yes, some people even wear yoga pants. Most people find it easiest to be barefoot but, if you want to wear socks or even shoes, it's your practice so you do what works for you.

More about yoga here.

“When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree.  The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You are too this, or I’m too this.’ That judgment mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.”
