About the Event

We are starting a book club!

Shala is partnering with the Lexington Writer's Room to explore the themes of health and spirituality, as well as the ever-important question of “why we are here.” We'll be reading books and having thoughtful discussions. Our conversations will be enhanced by all of your different perspectives.

Studies have shown that reading can help reduce stress levels, improve concentration, enhance memory, reduce loneliness, and even increase empathy. Reading books can open up new opportunities as it helps us to discover new ideas and perspectives. Remind you of anything? Reading and learning are tools, like yoga, that can help you find ease. Learning through reading and movement helps to develop your imagination and can even boost your confidence.  Both help you to access a deeper level of insight and connection to the world around you.
